WAR AGAINST CHRISTMAS 2004 COMPETITION

Several readers report the story that a 7th grader at New Hampshire’s Hampton Academy Junior High School was denied admission to the school’s "Holiday Dance" because he went wearing a Santa Claus costume:
"Principal Fred Muscara said he told the boy he couldn’t get into the dance because he was wearing the costume.
"'It was a holiday party,' said Muscara. [Send him a Holiday greeting] 'It was not a Christmas party. There is a separation of church and state. We have a lot of students that go to Hampton Academy Junior High that have different religions. We have to be sensitive to that.'" [Boy in a Santa suit asked to quit dance, by Patrick Cronin, The Hampton Union, December 21 2004]
So "sensitive" does Muscara feel compelled to be that even secular aspects of the Christian tradition must be eradicated.
Interestingly, this item was picked up by The Drudge Report — indication that Big Foot Media is becoming aware of mounting resistance to the War Against Christmas out there in Americaland.
