Re: Nicholas Stix Blog: Mexican Government To Open CA Office To Issue Fake ID Cards To Illegal Aliens; Orders US Not To Enforce Our Laws

Stix opens his blog with a quote from reporter Sara A. Carter:

"The Mexican government is opening a satellite consular office on Catalina Island — a small resort off the California coast with a history of drug smuggling and human trafficking — to provide the island’s illegal Mexican immigrants with identification cards, the Washington Examiner has learned." [Mexico opens California office to provide ID for illegals by Sara A. Carter, Washington Examiner, June 3, 2010.]

Of course, Catalina was not always synonymous with illegal immigration, drug smuggling and human trafficking.

Not that long ago, before the Mexican invasion, it was a place where Los Angeles residents vacationed to get away from smog and crowding. No cars are allowed on Catalina.

Depending on what era tourists visited, they might have run into Joan Crawford, Clark Gable or Betty Grable.

Now they have to be alert to dope peddlers. Such are the wonders of multiculturalism.

Greene, a retired Hollywood sound technician, lives in San Diego.
