Yahoo! News has published an imaginary map asking What the U.S. map would look like if each state had the same population,[By Dylan Stableford, August 22, 2013] The idea is that the electoral votes would exactly equal the popular vote.
Here is an even more perverted map, but it’s real: the congressional map of California.
It’s a map drawn on population, but without regard to citizenship. Note the highest density boxed areas are where the most illegal aliens reside (but fewest people vote) and the largest concentration of seats are located too.
Imagine what our Congress would look like if we excluded illegal aliens and their children from apportionment, or drew citizen legislative maps based on citizen populations.
Technically speaking I think the way California draws the Congressional maps obliterates the citizen vote with illegal aliens and their children, a direct violation of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. How does it feel to have your state’s votes obliterated by a gang of Mexicans living in East LA?
