Re: Jared Taylor’s article Donald Trump, White Supremacism, And The Insanity Of The WASHINGTON POST

From: A Canadian Reader

I read with interest Jared Taylor’s objections to being called a “white supremacist” by the Washington Post. [Hear a white nationalist’s robocall urging Iowa voters to back Trump, January 12, 2016] It reminded me of a conversation I had a few years ago. I was talking to a university professor and one of her students when immigration came up. I told the professor I was opposed to any immigration policy that would make whites a minority in Canada. She asked me “So how are you different from a white supremacist?”

I was taken aback. To me “white supremacist” conjures up images of Klansmen in hoods or skinheads with swastika tattoos. In other words, violent extremism in the name of racial oppression. Wanting a sensible immigration policy on the other hand strikes me as reasonable and moderate. The very opposite of extreme.

However, it looks like I am out of step with the thinking of the people John Derbyshire calls “GoodWhites”. Here is what Will Kymlicka, Canada’s leading expert on multiculturalism [VDARE.com: We would say: Leading Profiteer from multiculturalism] writes on page 57 of his 1998 book Finding Our Way: Rethinking Ethnocultural Relations in Canada:

“Adopting multiculturalism is a way for Canadians to say that never again will we view Canada as a ‘white’ country (and hence deny entry to Asians or Africans, as both Canada and Australia did earlier this century); never again will we view Canada as a ‘British country’ (and hence compel non-British immigrants to relinquish or hide their ethnic identity, as both Canada and Australia used to). It is a way for Canadians to explicitly denounce those historical practices, and renounce forever the option of returning to them.”
Unfortunately this perverse way of thinking has spread to Europe where it has created the immigration catastrophe we are witnessing in Germany.
