I am a life-long resident of Dearborn(-istan), Michigan and can attest to the results of endless "migration" of Muslims into my hometown.
Historically, Dearborn has always had a small Muslim presence and a larger Arab-Christian population as well. But ever since the early 1990s, we have seen large numbers of Muslims settling here and also sad to say, many of them appear much more fundamentalist, observant Muslims — and those are the ones that believe strongly in jihad.
I don’t need to tell the reason why Sharia Law is creeping into our civic (and school system) life: because Muslims are now here in large numbers — that’s why. Same for bizarre, 7th century clothing, honor-killings of daughters and wives, women walking a few paces behind men, schools seemingly shut down for their many holidays, etc.
It’s the immigration, stupid — to borrow a phrase from the 1990s political wars.
