Re: Minorities are majority population in Montgomery County, By Carol Morello and Dan Keating, Washington Post, February 10, 2011

I grew up in the Washington DC area and Montgomery County in Maryland was always known as the "rich county" with big homes, rolling hills, good schools, etc. It has the eighth highest median income among counties nationwide!

But … more than 100,000 whites moved out over the past decade, and guess who moved in? That’s right. More than 100,000 Hispanics. Result? Whites dropped from 62% of pop in 2000 to 49% in 2010 (they were 72% just twenty years ago in 1990!!)

I had always presumed that a rich county like Montgomery would never suffer the "white flight" fate of so many other areas simply because expensive home prices would keep the riff-raff out.

But I underestimated the left’s clever tactics … look at what Wikipedia revealed

"Since the 1970s, the county has had in place a Moderately Priced Dwelling Unit (MPDU) zoning plan that requires developers to include affordable housing in any new residential developments that they construct in the county. The goal is to create socioeconomically mixed neighborhoods and schools so the rich and poor are not isolated in separate parts of the county. Developers who provide for more than the minimum amount of MPDUs are rewarded with permission to increase the density of their developments, which allows them to build more housing and generate more revenue."[Montgomery County, Maryland, as of February 12, 2011]

Yup, the left, under the social justice banner of "affordable housing," continues to sneak "diversity" into white communities through zoning laws. And they throw incentives to big business to get them to play along. The left colluding with big business to screw Middle America … .sounds so familiar! Apparently it plays out at both the national and local levels!

I remember reading just a couple years ago — and being shocked — that something like half of the kids in Montgomery County now use subsidized lunch tickets. I thought the article had to be mistaken. Rich Montgomery County?

All I have to say is, if you can’t win nationally, there’s plenty to fight locally. And it begins with zoning laws. Beware your community’s zoning laws!

We all have an evolutionary instinct to fight or flight, but whites seem to have forgotten the "fight" option. I say stand up and fight for your communities and call out the "affordable housing" racket for what it is — a sick social engineering experiment concoted by leftists who have managed to co-opt money-grubbing developers to their cause.

If a rich county like Montgomery can fall to diversity, no county is safe …
