It seems the Republican party is truly beyond hope and continued effort towards them is effort wasted. As a Southern reader of VDARE.com, I have a highly effective plan B when dealing with unrepresentative and hostile governments, secession.
The will for it may not be quite high enough yet, but you would be surprised how much support it currently has. Had Southern states been able to set their own immigration policies since 1965 things would be a lot different down here.
If given self rule again, I think Dixie could implement a lot of what is advocated on VDARE.com.
