Small, but important, correction to James Fulford’s story on Matt Yglesias. Yglesias is not — most definitely not! — a “trained economist.” He has an undergraduate degree in philosophy, nothing more, and is consistently wrong when he writes on economic issues.
The reader really is a trained economist.
By James Fulford writes: I had forgotten that about Yglesias. I knew he was consistently wrong, but I assumed it was ideological blindness. I mean, Paul Krugman is consistently wrong about many things for just that reason, and he has the Nobel Prize.
