Re: New Gun Control Laws Aimed At “Bitter, Clinging” Whites, But Will Hit Blacks Hardest — As Usual
From the article:
Even Donald Trump, probably mistakenly, has made vaguely approving noises.
Donald Trump, a liberal Democrat, and proudly from New York, has, in the past, supported "assault weapon" bans, as well as requiring longer waiting periods for gun purchases. You can verify this in his book published in 2000,'The America We Deserve'.
By James Fulford writes: In 2000, Trump was considering running on the Reform Party ticket — their nomination went to Pat Buchanan, instead. The full quote from his book is:
“I generally oppose gun control, but I support the ban on assault weapons and I also support a slightly longer waiting period to purchase a gun.”
I suspect in 2016, his advisors will tell him what’s wrong with this (basically, that if there’s one place the Slippery Slope argument has been shown to apply, it’s gun control) and Trump will be the best President on Second Amendment issues in years, as Hillary would have been the worst. Trump actually owns and carries guns, and his recent speech on Orlando contained this passage:
Hillary Clinton says the solution is to ban guns. They tried that in France, which has among the toughest gun laws in the world, and 130 were brutally murdered by Islamic terrorists in cold blood. Her plan is to disarm law-abiding Americans, abolishing the 2nd amendment, and leaving only the bad guys and terrorists with guns. She wants totake away Americans’ guns, then admitthe very people who want to slaughter us.I will be meeting with theNRA, which has given me their earliest endorsement in a Presidential race, to discuss how to ensure Americans have the means to protect themselves in this age of terror.
Like I said, the best in years. But I also don’t care. Immigration policy is paramount. Gun rights are something Americans can argue about with each other as long as they still have a country. But if something isn’t done about immigration, it’s "Adios, America."
