Re: Edwin S. Rubenstein’s Column: Chinese "Contract Labor" and Canada’s Immigration Catastrophe
Thanks to Rubenstein for his essay on Chinese immigration and head tax.
It is too bad that 99.9 percent of Canadians don’t know the real story.
Like the U.S., anything perceived as anti-immigrant in Canada creates political-correctness run amok.
Nobody forced the Chinese to come here and build railroads that, admittedly, is arduous.
But, as always, the bottom line is greedy employers and opportunistic politicians making hay while the sun shines.
