Re: Allan Wall’s article Miss Mexico Crowned Miss Universe And Guess What — She’s White!
One only has to watch "telenovelas" to see that even in the Mexican entertainment world "white" is supreme — it’s obvious that today’s Mexican entertainment industry discriminates against dark-skinned actors.
What is ironic about this is that Hollywood Latino activists complain that there are not enough Hispanic (brown skin) actors in Hollywood, when in fact there is far more brown (and black) representation in Hollywood than there is in Mexico.
I can’t say this about the Época de oro del cine Mexicano of the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s that paralleled Hollywood’s greatness of the era with actors like Pedro Armendáriz, Maria Elena Marques, Cantinflas, Pedro Infante, Jorge Negrete, Maria Felix, and many more.

He spoke only Yiddish when he entered the first grade in Brooklyn. But within two months, his English "was as good as any kid on the block."
Netkin spent four years in the U.S Air Force including a tour of duty in Korea. For more Hal Netkin on VDARE.COM, see here.
