While the article is, no doubt, theoretically correct, there is no doubt that the neoconservatives who control the Republican party would move heaven and earth to prevent Kris Kobach or Lou Barletta from ever getting the nomination.

I suggest that by 2016, the GOP may be starting to get desperate.
