Would the Puerto Ricans really be willing to accept all the changes that would come with statehood such as world-wide multiculturalism? Somehow I don’t think that they would be willing to accept immigrants from all over the world swamping their tiny island. Would they like some of their Haitian neighbors coming to live in Puerto Rico? How about Somali refugees?
