Re: Today’s Letter: A California Reader Says A Simple Letter Eliminates All Problems Related To Visa Issuance
Here’s a simple solution to keep track of legal visa holders in America to make sure they go home on time.
In order to qualify for any type of visa, an applicant would have to have his DNA and finger prints on file with the federal government.
Then every thirty days after entry, the holder must electronically scan his visa at any government authorized public location: police and fire stations, libraries, public schools or universities. A simple scanner like those found at the local grocery market or bank ATM’s would suffice.
If a visa isn’t scanned after 45 days, a warrant for the overstayer’s arrest and deportation would be issued.
