An Alaskan Reader Reports NPR Is Following In VDARE.com’s Footsteps On SSI Reporting

This is kinda funny. The folks at NPR have just stumbled on the abuse and explosion of disability compensation (SSI):
- Unfit for Work, The startling rise of disability in America, By Chana Joffe-Walt
- This American 490: Trends With Benefits March 22, 2013
If they read VDARE.com they would have known about this years ago:
- A Census Bureau Employee Adds SSI To SS
- A Former Census Employee Notes, Once Again, Hmong SSI Use
- An Indian-American Reader Says SSI Treats Legal Immigrants Worse Than Illegals
- A New York Reader Reveals a Creative Twist On A Little Known Scam
- A Reader Points Out That, In Addition To The "Tired, Poor, And Dispossessed", They're Now Sending Us The "Elderly And Unhealthy" — Immigrants Who Come Here And Retire On SSI
By the way, in the NPR stories they focus on Dale County, Alabama where 25% of adults are on SSI.
Unlike NPR, I bothered to looked up the demographics of Dale — it’s 58 percent black.
