Re: Peter Brimelow’s post “Staggering” Poll Shows Immigration Patriotism Also The Answer To “War On Women” Smear

From: Ryan Kennedy

By Peter Brimelow’s post got me thinking about female voting patterns in general. It got me thinking about a recent seminar I took on new farm management. The lecturer spoke about how he thought a husband/wife team brought a good mix of caution and daring to starting a farm. He said farms started by men alone tend to over-estimate the amount that they can reasonably handle and get in over their heads. And women-run farms, well, he said that doesn’t actually happen because they are too afraid to start any kind of farm. But he liked the idea of the wife putting the brakes on man’s plan to become the next Archers Daniels Midland.

I think this view of human nature can be extrapolated to politics. I don’t think women are more leftist per se, but they are weary of what they perceive as Republicans shredding the welfare state that they might need and so are more inclined to vote Democratic. This is why you see married women voting decidedly more conservative; they're not worried about needing the welfare state because they've hitched they wagon to someone that mitigates this potential need.

This explains the poll cited by Peter Brimelow. [The Staggering Immigration Poll Numbers Driving Even Democrats To Denounce Amnesty, by Jonathan Strong, Breitbart, October 16, 2014] I think women perceive (correctly) that importing a bunch of foreigners into the country is going to put their kids at risk because their kids are the ones who are going to have to sit next to them in class and compete with them for limited school resources. Want to get women voters? Republicans should start pointing this out.
