Recently a friend told me how there are too few engineers available in America. He’s a programmer and I told him that, were I to attempt to complete my engineering degree, I doubt I would ever be hired.

His response was that what I said was probably true as as an older person I would expect “too high a salary. “

This is the same person, who remarked that those complaining about H-1Bs had nothing to complain about.
