I never assumed Texas gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott would be any different than Governors Perry or Bush before him on the immigration issue. After all, Texas stands to be another California in terms of its heavy Hispanic population, and its proximity to Mexico.
Pandering to Hispanics (and, by extension, illegals) should be a given. But what frustrates me is the fact that this 'pandering' to Hispanics has reached States like my own, Kentucky — a state with 'NO' Hispanic tradition, or large population.
Today, however, it’s a different ballgame.
