I agree with Guzzardi about Domenici. The New Mexico Senator should be ashamed of himself.

When immigration boosters start babbling about the great melting pot of pre-1924 immigration and comparing it to this invasion, I would like to ask them a few questions:

• Were there 300 million people in the US when their grandparents came here?

• Were there millions of people living in the desert facing severe water shortages in the coming years?

• Were their ancestors given the state and federal handouts that this bunch of law-breakers thinks they're entitled to?

• At what point did their grandparents sneak into the country and squat here?

These immigration enthusiasts are just bananas. When did the American people lose the ability to reason? And the politicians are the worst. They've lost touch with reality.

At some point the US will wind up like India or China, if the government keeps crowding people in here.
