Re: Dave Gorak’s Column: Message To Vets On Veteran’s Day: Get Off Meeting Hall Bar Stools — Enlist In Immigration Wars

I've been fighting the immigration battle for sometime.

Although I was awarded a Purple Heart, saw action in two wars and managed public affairs for the civilian issues in Iraq, when it comes to getting a job at the Department of Defense, I’m treated like a leper. This cold-shoulder comes despite my having spent more than 20 years in the defense community.

President Bush’s appointees won’t even talk to me.

Maybe it is because I remind them that I didn’t get shot in Iraq to come home and "Press One For English"
