04/22/08 — A North Carolina Reader Says Gov. Easley Is "Bad"…But His Possible Successor May Be Worse

From: Pete Redner

Re: Today’s Letter: A PA Reader Explains Why Keystone State Residents Are "Bitter"

Commentaries about Barack Obama, like those made by letter writer Greg Reese, get stranger all the time.

The problem isn’t Obama; it’s President George W. Bush!

Republicans, most prominently Bush as well Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham called everybody opposed to their amnesty for illegal immigrants a bigot for not willing to be steamrolled by alien invaders.

It’s the Bush Justice Department led by U.S Attorney Johnny Sutton, a good ole boy friend of the president, who keeps border patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean in prison for shooting at a dirt bag drug dealer.

Bush’s economic fallacies have stripped our country of white, blue and no collar jobs at a horrendous rate. The president’s romance with the China market perpetuates a myth that dates back to William McKinley.

As for the Bush administration’s Middle East policy, it would have been a lot cheaper in blood and treasure to keep Saddam in power and make it clear to him that our continued vigilance of Iran would cost Iraq in the form of cheaper oil.

As for this year’s presidential hopefuls, I'd prefer Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich or even the non-candidate and former U.S. congressman Bob Barr to the crowd running.

But Obama is different and I'd rather see him than Clinton II or the traitor McCain.

Obama can’t be any worse than either of those two!

Pennsylvanians may not be bitter. But we in New Jersey sure are.

Redner’s previous letters about the unfairness of the "Fairness Doctrine", the multiple social issues that immigration adversely impacts and New Jersey’s terrorists are here, here and here.

By Peter Brimelow replies: Of course, at VDARE.COM, we cannot take a position on elections. Certainly some of our readers are supporting Obama on the grounds that "worse is better", but it’s still important to point out just how he is "worse".
