Re: James Fulford’s Security Clearances, And The Deep, Corrupt State
From: A Washington State Reader
Security clearances go with the job, not the person.
My husband worked in private industry on defense contracts. He had the top level civilian security clearance, TS/SCI.
When he retired, he lost his clearance. He later worked on contract for the company in a lawsuit in a civil matter. He did not need and did not have a security clearance. Nevertheless, he did not and still does not divulge information that is secret, not to me nor to anyone else.
The great gasping about former government employees losing their clearances is ridiculous.
By James Fulford writes: This Tweet from an NBC operative (at a high enough level to receive leaks of classified intelligence) sets out the problem:
Security clearances are a valuable commodity. By making this threat, @realDonaldTrump is seeking to levy a financial penalty on @JohnBrennan and Clapper. There are also public policy reasons that former intel leaders remain cleared--so they can help their successors.

Obviously none of these people can be trusted with American intelligence secrets. They'll just tell Ken Dilanian.
