From the Daily Mail:
Many left-leaning news outlets suggesting President Donald Trump’s immigration policies is scaring off immigrants
But the United States is still the top pick for migrants seeking a new home
The U.S. even beats other countries including Canada and parts of Europe

Despite tough new immigration policies imposed by the Trump administration, the United States is still the top pick by far for migrants seeking a new home.
Some 158 million people have desires to move to the U.S.
Actually, it’s 158 million have the US as their first choice. Presumably, a lot more would be satisfied with immigrating to the US if they couldn’t get into their first choice.
The number accounts for around 21 percent of all those in the world seeking a new home.
In a worldwide survey, Gallup found that 15 percent of the world, or 758 million, want to move, most for jobs.
So that’s getting up toward a billion when counting kids not surveyed.
One-third of sub-Saharan Africa would like to leave. Good thing there isn’t an ongoing population explosion there.
