Here’s what you need to know about the cartoon above — it was published in April, 1974, issue of Mad Magazine,in a feature called The Lighter Side of Polarization by cartoonist Dave Berg. Let’s just focus on the one sentence that says "Then, thanks to the White policy of giving preference to any ambitious Black, I landed a good job."

That’s been the policy for more than forty years now. No black American is really in a position to say society discriminates against him, whereas many whites and Asians are.
