As a white senior citizen, I am truly out of it so when I’m in doubt, I check the Urban Dictionary. The definitions are mostly submitted by blacks. Here is the definition for "Hispanicpanic: When a number of Hispanics meet in one room and cause a big stir. Most often seen in a hospital room."
That’s one of the polite definitions in the list of Hispanic terms. Most Mexican-origin Hispanics do not like to be called Hispanic. They want to be called Latinos. So, ask a Latino or Hispanic if he feels privileged to be white.
