Certainly seems like @medill agrees with him. The declared purpose of his endowed chair is "social justice & LGBTQ" political activism.
The chair is named for a supporter of the LA Holocaust Museum- what a disgrace to fill it with an antisemite.https://t.co/LXpPE9KrxC

This note on Twitter is about a guy named Stephen Thrasher [Tweet him] who’s being criticized for anti-Israel hate speech at a commencement, and has just been appointed to a chair at Medill. I assume the bit about "anti-Israel hate speech" is true, but Thrasher has been hating white Americans for years.
I searched for previous Thrasher coverage on VDARE.com, and found that in 2010, Thrasher, who has enough African ancestry to qualify as black, declared that white people had gone crazy. He dated this from Obama’s inauguration.
White America Has Lost Its Mind
The white brain, beset with worries, finally goes haywire in spectacular fashion
Village Voice, September 29, 2010
Here’s the Voice’s picture of the mind he thought they had lost:
In 2016, with the election of Donald Trump, Thrasher declared that he had gone crazy.
This is a terrifying moment for America. Hold your loved ones close.People of color, women, Muslims, queer people, the sick, immigrants: all are threatened by Donald Trump. They need your love, your warmth, your support Hold tight to the ones you love, America. Hold tight to the ones you love living in black and brown and yellow and native skin. Hold tight to us, because we will have to face white people who think we are rapists. We will have to face a nation that wants to stop-and-frisk us. Hold tight to us, because mass incarceration is actually going to get worse, and more of our brothers and sisters are going to be disappeared … This is a terrifying moment for America. Hold your loved ones close,Guardian, November 9, 2016
When the Guardian, for which Thrasher writes, decided that they couldn’t allow comments anymore, they reported that their ten most verbally abused writers were women and minorities (Thrasher is black and gay) and their ten least abused writers were privileged white guys, something they believed was caused by racism, sexism and homophobia.
I had an alternative theory, writing that Comments At The GUARDIAN Reveal Their Ten Worst, Most Hateful Writers (Women And Minorities) And Their Ten Most Rational, Unobjectionable Writers (White Males).
My theory, based on the fact that I've read the Guardian, is that the people being verbally abused were themselves hateful people.
Steven Thrasher’s Guardian page, for example, had generally hateful articles like these:
I guessed that the family — the estate, actually — of the slain black youths being sued might be being sued because they had, for example, been "slain" while they were trying to smash a police officer’s head in with a baseball bat, or something. I was right.
Thrasher hated the director of Boyhoodbecause he made a movie about white boyhood, he hated Brett Kavanaugh for being outraged at false accusations, he thought Trump and Pence were going to do something to make AIDs worse, and he insisted that "The terror of lynching haunts black Americans again."
And now he has a Chair at Medill, in spite of only having achieved a PHD last month.
So yes, maybe he does hate Israel, but remember, he hated white Americans first.
