Boehner heeding $$$$ — not voters for GOP House
Predictably Speaker Boehner has rushed to betray the electors who just gave the House GOP a completely undeserved second term as majority party: Boehner 'confident' GOP, Obama can reach deal on immigration reformBy Daniel Strauss The Hill 11/08/12
Boehner offered optimism that his party could come to an agreement with Obama on immigration, a subject that has hurt the GOP with Hispanic voters.
"This issue has been around far too long," Boehner said in the ABC interview. "A comprehensive approach is long overdue, and I’m confident that the president, myself, others can find the common ground to take care of this issue once and for all."
Sen. Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.), chairman of the Senate Immigration, Refugees and Border Security Subcommittee, called Boehner’s comments a "breakthrough."
For good measure, Boehner sold the pass on Obamacare too:
On healthcare, Boehner said that there would be no more major efforts to repeal the law.
This was predictable because of Boehner’s betrayal of the electors who made him Speaker of the House via the 2010 election. As I have noted previously
…the voters who returned the Republicans to control of the House in 2010 … knew Obamacrat regime was packed with Treason Lobby activists with whom no compromise is possible — except surrender. They wanted effective action on Official English, Birthright Citizenship and E- Verify. And support for Arizona. And if the Senate blocked such action, or the President vetoed it, everyone would have been on the record and unable to hide from the electorate.
Boehner betrayed them. What they got instead was nothing — apart from blatant connivance at the Obamacrat dismantling of Immigration controls, culminating in the uncontested imposition of Administrative Amnesty, throwing away all the ground held so courageously in the Bush Amnesty Wars.
Based on the 112th Congress, Boehner would be saying much the same if Romney had won as Peter Brimelow has suggested. Boehner needs to go.
