When Jerry Brown signed the “California Dream Act” he could legalize certain aspects of illegals college education, but he couldn’t, obviously, legalize the illegals themselves. That’s a Federal responsibility, and can only be done constitutionally by congress, or unconstitutionally by the President.

“At the end of the day, if we’re going to continue as a powerful, equal-opportunity society, we’re going to have to invest in our people,” Brown, a Democrat, said at the signing ceremony in the library of a Los Angeles community college.

Any illegal alien who has completed three years of high school has already taken an estimated $24, 000 from California taxpayers. However, under Plyler v. Doe, there’s nothing the state is allowed to do to prevent it, assuming they wanted to.

However, note his reason for spending all this taxpayer money is “we’re going to have to invest in our people.” Actually, it’s Mexico’s people he’s investing in.

What he should be doing is trying get that money back from Mexico.
