"Chicago Men" (One Of Whom Operated An Immigration Services Business) Charged In Terror Plot Against Danish Newspaper

Two men have been arrested for plotting to attack the Jyllands-Posten, the Danish newspaper that published the Mohammed cartoons. They live in Chicago, their allies live in Pakistan, and their targets live in Denmark, but this is the age of technology and mass immigration.

One terrorist suspect, Tahawwur Hussain Rana, is a Canadian citizen of Pakistani origin, which is why he’s described in headlines as a "Chicago Man". [2 Chicago men accused of plotting terror attacks By Mike Robinson (AP) — 16 minutes ago]The other suspect is David Coleman Headley, who you might think would actually be a "Chicago Man," but the AP story says he’s a "U.S. citizen who changed his name from Daood Gilani in 2006," and that the he and Rana had "had gone to school together in Pakistan," which means that he’s also a Muslim immigrant from Pakistan, which is a much more normal way of putting it than calling him a "Chicago Man."

A very interesting note from the federal complaint:

"RANA, who operated an immigration services business with offices in Chicago and elsewhere for which Individual A at times claimed to work, among other things helped arrange and conceal Individual A’s travels to surveil potential targets for terrorist attacks and meet with others involved in planning acts of terrorism, discussed targets for terrorist attacks with Individual A, and helped to conceal the nature and purposes of Individual A’s travels."
