National Review’s Jonah Goldberg is generally unpopular in the precincts of VDARE.com, but sometimes he says something connected to The National Question that’s worth quoting. Tonight, commenting briefly on the earthquake of (the destructively feckless House Majority Leader) Eric Cantor [R-VA] losing his primary to economics professor Dave Brat, Goldberg concluded, "Comprehensive immigration reform is so dead that doorknobs look vivacious by comparison."Let’s hope Goldberg’s as good a seer as he is a (sometime) phrasemaker.
