Today, John Derbyshire points out that National Review Editor Rich Lowry’s latest book Lincoln Unbound suggests that
“We should stanch the flow of poorly educated immigrants, who compete for jobs with and suppress the wages of low-skilled workers.”
To which Derbyshire added
On the other other hand, he wants to welcome “skilled workers,” who presumably he thinks — wrongly, says a mountain of evidence — do not compete for jobs with, and suppress the wages of, our own citizens.
