David ("Squealer") Pakman, CNN’s John Blake, and VDARE.com

CNN’s unfortunate John Blake continues to be professionally threatened by leftists outraged that he dared to quote non-PC viewpoints in his Are Whites Racially Oppressed? article last week. The latest is an ambitious young leftoid radio show host called David Pakman (read his diatribe here or click on the weirdly androgynous visage below.

One of the happier facts of contemporary political life is that the average leftist (or immigration enthusiast) whom you run into is pretty stupid. Pakman is no exception. It’s painfully apparent that that he doesn’t realize that he’s talking about a website article — he repeatedly refers to CNN "bring [ing us] on", clearly assuming it was a broadcast. And he says that Blake "included not a single word devoted to saying you know these are white supremacist nationalist racists, right?" although Blake did exactly that, by quoting the $PLC, and in general stuck to the liberal template quite closely, as Ellison Lodge has pointed out. Obviously, Pakman was just working, sight unseen, off of talking points provided by … who?

Although I don’t see any reference to it on Pakman’s own website, Wikipedia (March 13, 2011) says he’s an immigrant from Argentina, no doubt brought in to do a job of lies and slander against American whites that American leftists won’t do — an amazing thought.

What is particularly comic, though, is that Pakman congratulates himself on controversial "interviews with political and religious extremists, liberal and conservative politicians, and other guests." He even announces proudly that his show "has been involved in a number of controversies involving homophobic and racist guests." But what is sauce for the Pakman, it seems, is not sauce for the Blake.

Even more comic, while Pakman is openly calling for the repression of opposing viewpoints, he boasts he appears on something called "Free Speech TV" — obviously brought to us by the folks who invented Orwellian oxymorons like "People’s Democracy".

I once wrote that leftist media muggers like Pakman "grow on trees" (although my then-example, Max Blumenthal, has surprised me by evolving in an unusual direction).

After due thought, I've decided that the generic term for these types should be "Squealers" — after the celebrated pig in Orwell’s Animal Farm who served as a self-appointed spokesman for Napoleon, the thinly-disguised Stalin figure. Squealer, as

described by Orwell, was

a brilliant talker, and when he was arguing some difficult point he had a way of skipping from side to side and whisking his tail which was somehow very persuasive. The others said of Squealer that he could turn black into white
In this case, of course, Pakman, for reasons that deserve analysis, is apparently determined to faciliate the turning of his adopted country’s historic white majority into — something else.

Email Pakman. (Be polite! — or, at least, as polite as he is).
