Neurosurgeons, not surprisingly, get paid the most of all types of doctors, $920k annually in their primes. But they work a lot of hours, an average of 63 hours per week. (Cardiac surgeons work the most hours, 66.)
Dermatologists are the 6th highest paid at $655k, but they only average 44 hours per week. And patients seldom have emergency dermatological crises, so most of those 44 hours are Monday to Friday during normal working hours.
