Dianne Feinstein has just died at the age of 90. The letter above, written while Feinstein was alive, says:
As U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) continues her years-long descent into dementia while refusing to resign, the devastating impact she has had upon the United States cannot be ignored.
As Mayor (1978 to 1988), Feinstein decreed the then-charming, safe, world-class San Francisco as the nation’s first “Sanctuary City” in 1985, to aid “refugees” from El Salvador and Guatemala. Central American gangs, including MS-13, quickly took over what had been solid, blue collar neighborhoods with safe streets, and the 24/7 gang shootings began.
Feinstein was too elderly to be in the Senate — she was actually wheeled in to vote as late as yesterday — and while senility is something of a sensitive subject for some of us (I was born in 1958, and if I had a non-journalistic job might have retired already), Feinstein was so old that VDARE.com raised the subject of her possible senility in 2003, when she was 74.
Joe Guzzardi, writing in 2007, mostly about Sen Pete Domenici (1932-2017), said:
Statistically, according to a Richard Posner study titled “Aging and Old Age” it is possible that the 75-year-old Domenici and two other very senior pro-amnesty Senators California’s Dianne Feinstein (74) and Massachusetts’ Teddy Kennedy (75) may have early symptoms of senility. Posner found that in the age group between 75 and 84, 16.4 percent of the population is senile.
Posner himself was 57 when he wrote Aging and Old Age, and he retired from the Federal Bench at 78, having said that 80 was the oldest a Judge should be.
Five years later, Guzzardi wrote Dianne Feinstein: You May Not Agree — But I Say She’s Senile!
Feinstein stayed in the Senate for another 11 years.
Feinstein was always 100 percent pro-immigration. This is from another Guzzardi column:
Here, according to a San Francisco Chronicle story written by Carolyn Lochhead, is what Feinstein hopes she can get you to believe:
”It’s an emergency. If you can’t get people to prune, to plant, to pick, to pack, you can’t run a farm.” [Feinstein, Lofgren push for immigrant workers, May 16, 2008]
I count five lies in two short sentences.
Or, if you prefer to look at it another way, in a twenty-one-word statement, Feinstein lied five times.

She won’t be missed, but what comes after her will probably be worse. Here’s an interesting note from Ann Coulter, who worked for Senate Judiciary Committee in 1995:
In 1995, Sen. Feinstein expressly thanked me for the sensible amendments I wrote on criminal aliens.
Teddy Kennedy hated them.

Feinstein will probably be replaced by a “person of color” appointed by Governor Newsom, who does like criminal aliens.
