There has been considerable looting in storm-stricken districts of New York City. In Coney Island, for example:
"I saw 10 or 20 people running with TVs through the streets. They were yelling, 'Plasma! Plasma!,'" said Peter Paik, whose salon was also robbed.
Now, this might be a case of mistaken identity. Possibly they were appealing for blood donors.
Even if they were looters, we can take comfort in the fact that they at least exhibited the all-important trait of diversity:
"They were young, they were old, they were boys, they were girls … I’m astounded."
