The New York Times has not gotten around to assigning any of its huge newsroom to the murder of Kathryn Steinle by Francisco Sanchez, linking instead only to four AP and one Reuters wire service write-ups, such as this most recent attempt to quiet the political fallout via headline-crafting:
Slain Woman’s Parents Focused on Healing, Not Sanctuary LawBut the coverage raises the question of what to call Sanchez, since the NYT and AP have diktats against using terms like illegal immigrant or illegal alien.
