Great Moments in Real News (TM) from the Guardian: The "16 Year-Old From Ethiopia"

Update: Or maybe this is a joke. Let me check some more.

Upupdate: I found a different photo of this middle-aged 16-year-old’s in the Daily Mail on 10/24/2016, but so far I haven’t it in The Guardian.

Upupupdate: This Guardian cover is for real! It’s not a satire like I worried it might be after I put up the post below. I hate being wrong, so I try hard not to be wrong.

Here’s the Tweet sent out by The Guardian with a photo of its front page.

And so, here below is my original post, which turned out to be correct. The Guardian’s frontpage of 10/25/16 was so self-evidently hilarious that about five minutes after I posted it here I got cold feet and figured that nobody could be that smugly delusional so there might be a high chance it is a photoshopped satire on The Guardian.

But, no. It’s really for real. So, here’s my original post, which I’ve since verified:

Here’s a screenshot of The Guardian’s front page on 10/25/2016:

The Guardian’s caption under its photo of one of the “children” reads:

“A 16-year-old from Ethiopia cries while he awaits registration at a processing centre in the makeshift camp near Calais.”
