Upupupdate: This Guardian cover is for real! It’s not a satire like I worried it might be after I put up the post below. I hate being wrong, so I try hard not to be wrong.

And so, here below is my original post, which turned out to be correct. The Guardian’s frontpage of 10/25/16 was so self-evidently hilarious that about five minutes after I posted it here I got cold feet and figured that nobody could be that smugly delusional so there might be a high chance it is a photoshopped satire on The Guardian.
But, no. It’s really for real. So, here’s my original post, which I’ve since verified:
