When a Houston mosque was hit by arson on Christmas Day 2015, the Hamas-affiliated Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) immediately swung into action with an accusation that the fire was an anti-Muslim hate crime:‘Suspicious’ fire breaks out at Houston mosque on Christmas Day, MSNBC, December 26, 2015… The Houston chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations called on authorities to investigate a possible bias motive in the case.
“Because of the recent spike in hate incidents targeting mosques nationwide, we urge law enforcement authorities to investigate a possible bias motive for this fire,” said CAIR-Houston Executive Director Mustafaa Carroll …
But less than a week later, a frequent worshipper at the mosque was arrested for the crime. No apologies from CAIR were heard.
Man charged with setting Houston mosque fire says he was a devout attendee, Houston Chronicle, December 30, 2015A Houston man has been arrested in connection with a suspected arson at a mosque on Christmas Day, but the motive for the crime remains a mystery, with the suspect maintaining he was a regular at the mosque … . Below, the arsonist, Gary Nathaniel Moore, at the time of his arrest. He was recognized from a surveillance video.
The good news is that the arsonist was recently sentenced to four years in prison for the fire, with no mention of his motivation. But if Moore just liked seeing things burn as a true pyromaniac would, why incinerate a mosque rather than an infidel structure?
Interestingly, a recent Google search for Muslim Hate Crime Hoax gave 268,000 results. Jihadists residing in the US want to advance the narrative that they are the victims of “Islamophobia” even as they mass-slaughter Americans in Orlando, San Bernardino, etc. in the name of Allah. And the Muslims keep hoaxing because the liberal media keeps responding, in hopes the press can characterize average Americans as violent, anti-diversity hicks.
Man sentenced to 4 years in prison in Texas mosque fire, Associated Press, December 9, 2016HOUSTON (AP) — A man has been sentenced to four years in prison for setting fire to the mosque in Texas where he worshipped.
Gary Nathaniel Moore was sentenced Friday in Houston after pleading guilty to arson and using a fire as a deadly weapon. Officials say surveillance video led investigators to the 38-year-old Moore. He was arrested several days after the Dec. 25, 2015, fire that caused significant damage.
Investigators have said there was no evidence of the fire being a hate crime against the Islamic Society of Greater Houston mosque. Officials say Moore had worshipped at the mosque daily for several years.
Moore must serve at least half of the four-year term before being eligible for parole.
