In case you missed it at the time, here’s a video — How California Became A Liberal Sanctuary — from The Heritage Foundation’s Daily Signal that explains why Republicans lost California. It mentions “demographics,” and somehow, believe it or not, never mentions immigration.4
“California’s liberal extremism isn’t working out well for Californians,” the narrator says.
Undoubtedly, that’s true. And one can be certain that the leftism he describes is not a prescription for an economically healthy state.
But neither are its actual sanctuary policies, and by sanctuary, we don’t mean sanctuary for liberals.
