Hoax Alert: Racism At Air Force Academy Prep School?

Here we go again. This time, the “racial slurs” appeared on the message boards of five blacks who attend the U.S. Air Force Academy’s prep school.

The slurs (Air Force Times says these included “go home n*****r” scrawled on a whiteboard) invited the high dudgeon of the general in charge, Jay Silveria, superintendent of Air Force Academy

“If you’re outraged by those words, then you’re in the right place,” said Lt. Gen. Jay Silveria. “That kind of behavior has no place at the Prep School, has no place at USAFA and has no place in the United States Air Force. … “

Silveria left cadets with what he called his most important thought on the subject.

“If you can’t treat someone from another race or different color skin with dignity and respect, then you need to get out,” he emphatically said. “If you can’t treat someone with dignity and respect, then get out.”

Authorities “are investigating,” as they always are, but so far, we have no evidence that maniacal racists are stalking the academy’s campus.

Just as we have no evidence that a “racist” painted swastikas at Georgetown University, and no evidence that “racists” tried to lynch a biracial boy in New Hampshire.

We do have nervous white authorities condemning what might well turn to be hoaxes.

If so, will Silveria and the president of Georgetown tell the hoaxsters to “get out.” After all, inventing fake racial attacks is hardly treating “someone another race or different color skin with dignity and respect.”

Indeed, it’s smearing an entire race for the explicit purpose of inciting racial hatred.
