Earlier (2006) : Winter Races — And The Races Of Man
The Winter Olympics are not like the men’s 100 meter dash in the Summer Olympics, in which practically every man in the world has tried sprinting at one time or another. Instead, they are dominated by people who grew up in affluent families in places like Lake Placid, NY and Steamboat Springs, CO. Personally, I like the idea that there are all these weird niche sports that get passed down thru family lineages:
