If Trump Resurfaces McCain Vietnam Allegations, Will McCain Finally Lose His Senate Seat?

Senator John McCain is attacking Trump for fighting back against DNC Muslim speaker Khizr Khan.
"I'd like to say to Mr. and Mrs. Khan: thank you for immigrating to America. We're a better country because of you. And you are certainly right; your son was the best of America, and the memory of his sacrifice will make us a better nation — and he will never be forgotten."

McCain noted that his own son also served in the Iraq War and that McCains have been serving in the US military for hundreds of years. McCain: Trump defamed Khan, does not represent GOP, By Tom LoBianco, CNN, August 1, 2016

Of course, during the 1860s, some of McCain’s ancestors served against the US military. And why the presence of a Pakistani immigration lawyer makes the US a better place is something I don’t understand.

But suppose Trump hits back at McCain by resurfacing stories about McCain’s reputed collaboration with his Vietnamese captors during the Vietnam War. See John McCain: When "Tokyo Rose" Ran for President | What Was John McCain’s True Wartime Record in Vietnam? by Ron Unz, Unz.com, March 9, 2015.

These allegations have been around for a long time, and we've mentioned them here — Peter Brimelow mentioned them twice at least when McCain was running for President in 2008

During McCain’s last run for the Senate (every six years he has to look like a patriot) we ran this one: And last year, when Trump responded to an earlier McCain attack, we wrote You see, McCain is running for the Senate again, and is being primaried by conservative Republican Kelli Ward. You and I may know all this, but if Trump mentions it, the MSM will have the same fit they're having over the Khans, and Arizona voters will hear about McCain’s questionable Vietnam record for the first time.

Because no matter what you and I know, what most voters know is what they see in the media — and this is something the media has had on "ignore" for a long time.
