Mexican-born Esther Barber, who in 2003 deceived a gathering of patriots in Indianapolis with her stories of persecution by the Mexican government because she then opposed illegal immigration, has had her day in court after she was caught lying about her credentials.
Ms. Barber, who along with her late husband Bob one day discovered there was money to be made from illegal immigration and began opposing all efforts to crack down on illegals in their state, received only a slap on the wrist from the court but must pony up $58,194 in back taxes.
