Gibson, of course, is the Fox News guy who wrote the 2008 book pictured right, The War on Christmas: How the Liberal Plot to Ban the Sacred Christian Holiday Is Worse Than You Thought.

But we were there before him — in 2008, when Gibson and his book were getting some attention, Max Blumenthal of the Daily Beast wrote hit piece titled Who Started the War on Christmas? | 'The War on Christmas' started in a white nationalist cabal and spread to conservative media.
