Instead Of Framing Politicians With Strippers, It’s Now "White Supremacy"

Earlier: What The Steve King Case Says About The Prospects For Democratic Debate…And for America

In the book, Perfect Villains, Imperfect Heroes, one of the stories author Ronald Goldfarb writes about was a Kentucky sheriff who was trying to cut down on mob controlled illegal gambling in Kentucky near the Ohio border. To get rid of him, he was drugged, stripped and put in a bed with a stripper whose alias was April Flowers. The plot eventually fell apart [Legend of the stripper and the sheriff, by Greg Noble,WCPO-Cincinatti, May 12, 2016]. However, I've read about other politicians blackmailed over such things. (In The Godfather Part II, this is done with a dead prostitute.)I seem to recall Hunter S. Thompson writing of this tactic being used against delegates in the primaries. The delegates were then blackmailed.

Today, it is not necessary to put a politician in bed with a stripper or prostitute. All you have to do is label them a "white supremacist" or simply racist, and he will be cancelled by the liberal press AND the leaders of the Republican party if the alleged perpetrator is a Republican. On the other hand, if a politician dresses up in blackface or wears a Klan robe, he can skate. Amusingly, on the Megyn Kelly show, Senator Ted Cruz pointed out that Virginia governor said of the picture depicting one college student in blackface and the other in a Klan robe:

"Earlier today, a website published a photograph of me from my 1984 medical school yearbook in a costume that is clearly racist and offensive," Northam said in a statement. "I am deeply sorry for the decision I made to appear as I did in this photo and for the hurt that decision caused then and now."

Notice that Northam did not specify whether he was the one in blackface or the Klan robe.

I bring that up because of what was done to Iowa immigration hawk Steve King. In modern times, there are other dirty tricks to be used against an unwelcome politician. King was well respected and had just won re-election when he was informed that Kevin McCarthy (B from NumbersUSA) and others were gunning for him and seeking to take him down. King was surprised by this and shortly thereafter, there was a hit piece done on him in the New York Times. McCarthy gave him the proverbial kiss of death, and King got primaried, lied about and his primary. It’s a fascinating tale.

Here’s the interview with Tucker Carlson. It’s a little bit of inside politics for those who like politics and shows you how Washington really works. Even Tucker Carlson who spent his life covering politics said during the interview that he learned so much from Steve King about how Congress actually works.

It’s an hour long interview, but if you only watch the first ten minutes, you will still be enlightened whether you are a Democrat or Republican.
