Besides ransacking the home and taking two generators and a grass cutter, accomplices made off with 33 goats.

Reports say Willie was bound and brutally beaten while his wife’s head was beaten. Paraffin squirted in both victim’s eyes.
Injuries included a broken jaw suffered by Elmarie and broken ribs suffered by Willie; the result of being kicked and beaten.
Stolen was a cell phone and a small amount of cash.

The victim suffered superficial wounds when she resisted. The attackers made off with R15000 cash from the woman’s car and another R500 from her wallet.
The stolen R15000 reportedly belonged to her employer.
The victim’s bank cards and license were also taken.

Reports say Marie de Bruyn was attacked by a long-time employee using a pickaxe handle.
The victim lives with her daughter and son-in-law, who were not at home at the time of the attack. The attacker was arrested.

The attacker apparently gained entry into the house through a window.
Two suspects in possession of liquor, a wallet and a bag taken from the victim’s home were arrested.

The attackers were armed with a firearm, spear and knife. They made off with a number of items, including a welding machine, generator and tools.

A 15-year-old was arrested after being found hiding in a cupboard at the farmhouse where the attack occurred. He apparently entered the home through an open door.

While the victims were bound in a storage area, the attackers entered the farmhouse, taking firearms and cash.

The deceased cattle farmer had been bound. He suffered assault wounds to his face and was stabbed twice in his back, which were deemed fatal.
Brown had been a noted rugby player in Amanzimtoti on the south coast.

Reports say the farmer was awakened by noise and noted the suspect entering the property. After the farmer shouted at the intruder, the suspect leveled what appeared to be a firearm. That prompted the farmer to shoot.
The farmer was reportedly arrested for murder.
