During my fifteen years hanging out at National Review there were inevitably some staffers I liked a lot, some I had no feelings about, some I didn’t much care for … And then there was Ramesh Ponnuru.
From a 2015 post of mine here at VDARE.com:
One of the first to unsheath his stiletto in the April 2012 business, for example, was senior editor Ramesh Ponnuru, in whom high intelligence, ready wit, and a wonkish mastery of political detail are combined with a feline talent for intrigue and a patience in revenge that would have elevated him to the highest levels in the court of an Oriental despot.
I must say, though, that this tweet from yesterday has redeemed Ramesh completely in my eyes.
It’s so hard not seeing other people, I can only imagine how hard it is for people who actually like other people.
