Just As We Thought, Alabama Murder-Mutilation Suspect Is An Illegal Alien

Earlier: BREAKING: In Alabama, Another Case Of Immigrant Mass Murder?

The latest on the triple-murder-mutilation case in Alabama will come as no surprise to anyone familiar with such cases. Jose Paulino Pascual-Reyes, 37, who is charged with three counts of capital murder, two counts of abusing a corpse, and one count of first-degree kidnapping, is a previously deported illegal alien.

Authorities arrested Pascual-Reyes after a motorist found his kidnap victim, a 12-year-old girl, wandering on a road and called 911. She led lawmen to the home, where they found two mutilated corpses. Those bodies were the remains of the girl’s mother and brother. The girl, whom Pascual-Reyes drugged with alcohol and tied to a bed, police allege, chewed through the restraints to escape.

Court records on Wednesday identified the two bodies found at the east Alabama mobile home. The adult victim was identified as Sandra Vazquez Ceja, and the second victim — a boy under the age of 14 — was identified only as “AOGV.” https://t.co/dvDpEeKCnc

But, again, as I predicted, Pascual-Reyes is an illegal alien:

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)’s, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI)-Birmingham is assisting state and local police with the investigation.

According to an ICE spokesperson, ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations officers lodged an immigration detainer on Pascual-Reyes, following his arrest on Monday.

Pascual-Reyes was arrested by the U.S. Border Patrol on Dec. 14, 2014 and processed as an expedited removal and removed to Mexico on Dec. 23, 2014. He reentered the U.S. at an unknown location and time.

Note that the news report’s headline ignored Pascual-Reyes’ immigration status.

The mother, Sandra Vazquez Ceja, who was awaiting an asylum hearing, jumped the border in 2017. Maybe if she and her family had been deported, they’d still be alive.
