Here are the latest border apprehension numbers as released by Customs and Border Protection and charted by Ed Rubenstein. Increased apprehensions generally mean not fewer crossers getting through, but more, not least because laws (which the formerly Republican House of Representatives did nothing to change) require many of the people apprehended to be released into America.
