Heads up Mainers, Bostonians, Floridians, and San Antonians! The ethnic-grievances brigades of the Open-Borders army are about to flood your zones with more than $100,000 in heart-wrenching (if you don’t know the real story) broadcast and print ads peddling the DREAM Act. The pigeons they're hoping that viewers, listeners, and readers will pressure are five squishy-on-illegal-immigration Republican senators: the "Maine ladies" (Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe), Scott Brown (Massachusetts), George LeMieux (Florida), and Kay Bailey Hutchison (Texas). They need to pick off some Repub "Yes" votes because they think some Dem senators will vote against DREAM.
That word came from the horse’s mouth itself, Frank Sharry, head of America’s Voice, in a conference call on Tuesday afternoon, November 30. (Interestingly, Sharry was born Francis Navas, according to an archival Wikipedia page that’s from August 21, 2010. But sometime on September 6, 2010, that tidbit vanished from Wikipedia’s then-current write-up for Sharry/Navas, and it hasn’t resurfaced. Notably, he has two daughters with the last name "Navas.")
You can listen to the radio ad directed at constituents of Scott Brown here. The script is at this page (scroll down). Here’s what it says:
DREAMer #1: My name is David Cho. I came to the United States when I was 9 years old. I graduated high school with a 3.9 GPA, and I’m now a senior studying International Economics. My dream is to serve in the U.S. Air Force after graduation. My story is not unique. The DREAM Act can bring thousands of undocumented students like me out of the shadows and allow us to give back to the only country we call home.So those are evidently a couple of good students. But are they typical of most "DREAMers"? One has to guess "No." After all, there’s an old saying called Hart’s Law: In a country as big as the United States, you can find fifty examples of anything. So among one to two million illegal-alien "youths" (up to age 30; plus they can lie about their ages, since they're "undocumented"), it’s not surprising that there will be some academic high-performers.DREAMer #2: My name is Ivan Rosales. I've lived in the U.S. since the age of 1. I was an honor student in high school, and now I’m a college senior, majoring in biology. My dream is to serve my country as a doctor in the military.
Announcer: The military, small businesses, and 66% of voters support the DREAM Act.
Senator Brown: Where do you stand? David, Ivan, and high-achieving young people like them are counting on you.
Ask Senator Brown to vote YES for the DREAM Act. Text DREAMNOW to 69866. Standard text message rates apply.

Similarly, Mark Krikorian has said, regarding legal immigration,
People imagine [that we have] “Einstein immigration,” the best and the brightest, the cream of the crop, yada, yada, yada. Well, there’s some of that, but it’s mainly a “bunch of B students from Hyderabad Community College.”If you'd like a heavy dose of DREAM-Act facts that are relevant to the American citizenry, check out Sen. Jeff Sessions’s 10 points here. And I had some comments on selling-the-DREAM-Act-by-evasion here.
In a following post, I'll discuss some other aspects of Sharry’s conference call.
